Meghan and John tie the knot | Boston wedding photographer

This past Saturday Meghan and John got married at the Intercontinental in Boston. I loved everything about this wedding. It was classy, small, elegant, relaxed and fun all at the same time.
I arrived at 9 am to meet Meghan in her room where she was getting ready with her maid of honor and 4 year old daughter.

Meghan looked so beautiful!

One of my favorite photos ever! Happiness drinking a $12 nip out of the mini bar in order to calm pre ceremony nerves.

The ceremony was in the foyer at 10 am. This place is just so beautiful and contemporary. The view was pretty amazing too.

The ceremony went perfectly and then it was time for mimosas!

We headed outside in the miserable humid heat for some formal shots but we didn't stay too long. I'm glad we went though. It was really pretty out there on the waterfront.

Back inside it was time for delicious food. Everything was outstanding. I want to have breakfast there everyday.

The girls couldn't have been happier to twirl for me :-)

I stole John and Meghan away near the end so that I could get some photos of them in the beautiful foyer. The colors and artwork were just so beautiful.

I couldn't decide which ring photo I liked the best so you get to see all of them.

Carter | Danvers baby photography

Carter was born a year ago today. I can't believe his newborn session was that long ago. It seems like yesterday.

Yesterday he was a walking, laughing big boy. And when I say big I mean big. He is off the charts...literally. His nickname is meatball and that he is.

We were at Glen Magna, one of my favorite places to wander around and snap pictures.

So the session is over and we go back to our cars. Mom puts Carter in the car seat letting him hold the keys. She shuts the door. We chat a little as she's rounding the car to the driver side. She goes to open the driver's door and it's locked. The little man had pushed the lock button on the keys. She tried coercing him to push the unlock button but even though he looks 15 he is in fact just 1 so that attempt failed. Luckily they live really close and Carter's dad was able to drive over with the spare set of keys.

Rowen | Lynnfield family photography

My second handsome little boy of the day last Sunday was Rowen. It was pretty hot and muggy outside so he was only content out there for a short amount of time.

Their yard was perfect for photos!

IMG_1149

IMG_1150

Rowen wasn't walking yet so I didn't have to chase after him too much.
IMG_1173

He definitely wasn't a fan of being contained or controlled though. He would completely melt down if they picked him up to move him somewhere else. He got over very quickly and it just made me laugh.
IMG_1180

His parents wanted me to get a picture of him "smoking a stogie". He totally knows he's doing something funny.
IMG_1226

These are the "antique" blocks that Rowen's mom and her sister played with when they were kids.

We spent a lot of time trying to get a picture of Rowen with his mom. The heat killed our attempts outside and for some reason he just wasn't happy being held by her inside. That is until they did the tango! He lit right up!

I forget the exact details of this chair but it is a family heirloom originally made in the early 1900s. It looked brand new. My house is decorated with mission style furniture and this would have fit very nicely in my living room. Unfortunately they were watching me when I left so I couldn't sneak it out.

Thank you so much for letting me crash your house and take photos of your beautiful little boy!
