York Beach Family Photography

This is an extended North Shore family who was going to be vacationing on York Beach one week over the summer.  When she asked if I'd be willing to go up there to do a session with them I said "of course!"  It's just about an hour ride and I'm pretty familiar with the area.  I ended up having dinner by myself at a restaurant right on the beach after rather than heading straight home.  It was a Sunday evening and I knew traffic going home was going to be BAD.  It turned out it was still BAD even after stalling leaving until 8:30pm.  Doesn't matter though, it was a great day and I had a ball with this family.

The beach was obviously sunny and also VERY windy that day.

I walked back across the street to their hotel to see if we could find some shade (and a little less wind) to take some individual images of the kids.  I loved this little spot we found!

Boston Family Photography

This amazing lady in the middle of the first photo bought a session from me as a gift to her parents for their anniversary.  I love it when people think of giving photography as a gift!
Her parents have a house in York, Maine that is pure perfection.  The house really means a lot to all of them so we did the session up there.

I was going crazy with all of the beautiful places in their yard.

I think by the end they were sick of me taking their picture so I cut them loose.  I couldn't be happier with these images!  I adore the blue color scheme and the back light really brings these pictures to life.

Catherine | Boston area senior portraits

OMG! What an amazing senior session I had yesterday with Catherine. It's currently 12:15am. My friends are going to be picking me up at 6:45am to go to the airport but I HAD to get this session up.

Meet Catherine. She's awesome. I swear I have her to credit for most of these fabulous images. She was so excited and had so many great ideas and was up for anything.

I drove up to York yesterday to her Aunt's beach house. We did some shots in the yard then after we had melted from the humidity we went to the beach to do some more.

Picking favorites to share here was just silly because they are all so beautiful.

Thank you Catherine for being so great and willing to have some fun! I hope you love your images as much as I do.

Enjoy a slideshow of the entire session below.

Oliver's 1 year photo session | on location New England Photography

Last Friday I took a trip up to York, Maine for Oliver's photo session. The amount of adorable photos I got of this kid is just incredible. He was such a joy and so easy to capture his personality. I went up there thinking we would take him to the beach or the nearby Nubble Lighthouse but the fog was like nothing I've ever seen. If you were standing on the beach you literally could not see the ocean. We thought it might clear up after some time but it was like that all day.
But it absolutely did not matter that we couldn't go to a scenic location because their vacation home was stunningly beautiful.

Oliver's Grandma was helping wrangle him. I just love this shot!

This photo cracks me up. Oliver's parents are professional singers and this picture makes me think that he's practicing his vocals.
