The lighting for indoor photos was not good that day so I had to break out my flash for some shots which I HATE to do. It was necessary though and I think it worked out well.

Caitlin and new sister Hailey | Burlington baby photographer
Caitlin has been one of the stars of my website for over a year now. She's such a sweet girl and is so cooperative for me even at her current age of 2. Well, now she has to share the spotlight with new sister Hailey.

Photo Walk with Nick
So a year and a half ago when my friend Nick and I went on a photo walk in Boston I really enjoyed it and said I was going to make sure to do it again soon. Since Nick lives in Texas I had to wait until he came back to Boston for a visit.
This shot was taken in the Annisquam village of Gloucester behind the church where my husband and I got married in 2001. I had never driven down the road but I had a feeling we would find some pretty things. This was a pedestrian bridge across a river.
Happily since then I've upgraded my camera from a rebel to a 7D so it was fun to play with it.
This time we went for something a little different than the city. We did a drive around Cape Ann; the 127 loop through Gloucester and Rockport. The ocean was everywhere we looked and all of the cool nautical artifacts were so nice to photograph.

We had stopped on the side of the road to photograph a barn and passed by a granite post with this chain on top of it. We both got cool shots of it.
I had fun with this photo in photoshop. I just wanted to wreck it. I must have used 15 different actions on it.
We ended our tour at Good Harbor Beach. Since the summer crowd was gone and it was a bit chilly that day there were tons of dogs running around. Gotta love doggie footprints in the sand.
Hopefully it won't be another year and a half before we do this again!

Lee and Kevin | Essex Wedding Photographer
Lee and Kevin's wedding was held at the Essex Conference Center. I had never been there before and what a lovely surprise. The location is nestled in the woods with modern art sculptures scattered around the property. It was a fantastically beautiful day and Lee looked gorgeous.

Sarah and Shaun | Boston | New England Aquarium Wedding
After their engagement shoot I just couldn't wait for this wedding! I knew it was going to be so much fun and so beautiful.
It was an overcast afternoon in Boston at the Aquarium with a little chill in the air but not too bad.
I randomly ran into the boys in the hotel bar before the ceremony having a drink and checking in on the ladies who were running late!
On the way out of the hotel there was a little run in with a drunk bum sort of guy who didn't want to leave Sarah alone. He stuck right with her and was chewing her ear off. She handled it awesomely but hotel security had to step in.
We spent some time before the ceremony taking group pictures. Everyone was very cooperative and I was appreciative for that!
Oh, and the colors Sarah chose were outstanding! I was loving how they were so bold and blended together perfectly.
On the way to the Aquarium for the ceremony we ran into a dog being walked. Sarah wanted her picture with him. Anyone who loves animals that much is OK in my book.
Right before the ceremony we took some more group shots with their families. Not a bad location, eh?
Then it was finally time for them to get married! The ceremony was on the same dock next to where the pictures above were taken. Such a beautiful location!
Shaun's best man and brother Tim is a total comedian. I was shocked that he hadn't pulled anything up until that point but he was just waiting until he had a full audience to perform. When he was asked for the rings he patted his jacket, checked his pockets with a worried look then turned to the next groomsman and said "Oh, I gave them to you to hold". They ended up repeating that all the way down the line. I actually forget who ended up having the rings but it was so funny.
One of my favorite things to photograph at a wedding are the speeches. The natural expressions and reactions you get to capture are priceless. Here is Tim being funny again.
I had such a great time at this wedding and am so thankful that they gave me the opportunity to be their photographer.
