Candice and Mike | Newburyport engagement photography

I met Candice and Mike in Newburyport yesterday. The weather was just perfect for an evening engagement session. We started out at a beautiful park that I had never seen before. I was so excited to see fountains and beautiful flowering trees and a gazebo and even a really old stone tower.

After we had exhausted all the scenic areas at the park we drove out to Plum Island.

Candice and Mike are such a fun couple and couldn't stop giggling through the whole session. I can't wait to photograph their Fourth of July wedding!

Joy and Michael get engaged at the Taj in Boston

I had the most amazingly unique opportunity this past weekend. Michael contacted me a couple of weeks ago to see if I would be available to photograph the events of his engagement. I was thrilled to be involved. His plan was very complicated and very well orchestrated.

He and Joy arrived at the Taj in Boston where I was secretly waiting in the lobby. They went up to the most beautiful suite on the 16th floor overlooking the Public Garden where he played a song on his guitar (that he wrote!) and proposed. After she said yes, he called me to come up to the room. After introducing myself and being the first to congratulate the couple I stole that beautiful ring right off of Joy's hand so I could take pictures of it.

We took a few pictures in the room then went across the street to the Public Garden. It was such a beautiful day!!

After the garden Joy thought she and Michael were getting ready for a romantic dinner at Abe and Louies so I said goodbye but really I hopped in a cab and went to Abe and Louies myself. Michael had planned for their families to be there to surprise her. Even his sister and brother in law from Colorado were there.

And if all that surprise wasn't enough Michael had arranged for other guests to join them and surprised them with the news as they walked in the room.

I was so happy to be able to capture the wonderful memories of this very special day in their lives.

I found out about animoto.com last week. It's a website where you can upload your photos and it automatically makes a video for you. I think I'm in love :-)

CJ | Boston Newborn Photography

CJ had his first photo session this morning. He was picture perfect. I have never had a newborn who was so moldable without waking up. I was so excited to try out different poses and even more excited to get home and see the images. I'm in love with them! I almost smuggled CJ out of the house when it was time to go but his mom was onto me.

Baby Elias and big sister Hazel | Ipswich newborn photographer

I met Elias yesterday for his very first photo shoot. He was a very demanding model and required many pacifier breaks.
At least the pacifier made him sleep and I was able to get most of the shots I wanted to.

This was the last photo of his umbilical cord. It fell off near the end of the session.

This is one of my favorites...

His big sister Hazel came home at the end of the session so I could get some pictures of the two of them. Hazel had other ideas. We tried our best to get her to love on her new brother but at 2 years old she isn't allowed to listen to anyone. Of course the minute I left she was kissing and hugging him.

Lane August | Beverly newborn photographer

Max is a big brother! Lane was born just before Thanksgiving. I was so excited to get over there to photograph him. Once again however I had a newborn that wasn't interested in sleeping.

This first images is the one I used to design the birth announcement.

The next two outfits were used in Max's newborn shoot too.

This is the image we used for the Christmas card.

I finally got him to get to sleep but only long enough to get these last few photos.
